(Acts 2:31-32, NIV) Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, [Or Messiah. “The Christ” (Greek) and “the Messiah” (Hebrew) both mean “the Anointed One”; also in verse 36.] that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. (Acts 2:32) God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.
(Romans 1:4, NIV) and who through the Spirit [Or who as to his spirit] of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God, [Or was appointed to be the Son of God with power] by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
(I Corinthians 15:42, NIV) So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;
(I Peter 1:3, NIV) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
(I Peter 3:21-22, NIV) and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also — not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge [Or response] of a good conscience towards God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, (I Peter 3:22) who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand — with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.
2. Question: What is the meaning of 'eternal life' and how can a man have it?
Answer: 'Eternal life' means knowing the only true God, and Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:15, NIV) that everyone who believes in him {Christ} may have eternal life. [Or believes may have eternal life in him]
(John 3:16, NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, {Christ} [Or his only begotten Son] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:36, NIV) Whoever believes in the Son {Christ} has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”
(John 6:40, NIV) For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son {Christ} and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
(John 11:25-26, NIV) Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; (John 11:26) and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
(John 17:3, NIV) Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
(I John 5:13, NIV) I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
3. Question: When will the resurrection and possession of eternal life take place for those believers who died?

(I Corinthians 15:52, NIV) in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
4. Question: Who will raise the dead?
Answer: God the Father will raise the dead, through the Lord Jesus Christ.
(I Corinthians 6:14, NIV) By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.
(II Corinthians 1:9, NIV) Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
(II Corinthians 4:14, NIV) because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.
(Acts 17:31, NIV) For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.”
(I Corinthians 15:12, NIV) But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
(John 5:25, NIV) I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
(John 6:40, NIV) For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
(John 6:44, NIV) “No-one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

(I Thessalonians 4:16-17, NIV) For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (I Thessalonians 4:17) After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
6. Question: What else will happen in the next coming of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Answer: The believers will reign with Christ for a thousand years on earth.
(Revelation 20:4, NIV) I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
(Revelation 20:6, NIV) Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
(Revelation 3:5, NIV) He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.
