A New Heaven and A New Earth




Q1. Is there a new heaven and a new earth written in the Bible?

A. It is written and declared in Revelation.

“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.” (Rev. 21:1) (NIV)

(a)It was first revealed through the prophet Isaiah.

““See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.” (Isa. 65:17) (NIV)

Q2. Why is there a need for a new heaven and a new earth?

A. For the present heavens and earth will pass away at that time. (Read Rev. 21:1)

A. When the great throne is set up to judge the wicked.

Q4. Is there any prediction about the passing away of heaven and earth?

A. This was foretold, this was written by Apostle Peter.

“10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.” (2 Pet. 2:10-12) (NIV)

Q5. Who, according to the Scriptural statement, will dwell in the new heavens and new earth where the kingdom of God is?

A. Those who endure and remain faithful.

“but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Mat. 24:13) (NIV)

“…Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.” (Rev. 2:10) (NIV)

The character of those who endure are:

(a)Those who believe in the Father and the Son

““Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. “(Jn. 14:1) (NIV)

(b)Those who have been blessed by the Father who did good.

““Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” (Mat. 25:34) (NIV)

(c)Those who are humble.

““Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Mat. 5:3) (NIV)

Q6. For many churches have appeared in this last days, which church is truly worthy of the kingdom of God?

A. “4 Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. 5 All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.” (2 Thes. 1:4-5) (NIV)

Q7. Is there any guarantee in God's Church that they will surely enter the kingdom of God in heaven?

A. There is a guarantee. For their citizenship has been registered in heaven even now.

“20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” (Philip. 3:20-21) (NIV)

Q8. Will the Church of God be with God the Father in heaven?

A. They will be with God.

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.” (Rev. 21:3) (NIV)

Q9. What heavenly bliss awaits the faithful?

A. There will not be any kind of sorrow there.

Q10. Which particular place in the new heavens and the new earth will the Church (sanctified) in Christ Jesus inhabit?

A. The new Jerusalem.

“I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.” (Rev. 21:2) (NIV)

Q11. Will those who have been sanctified be with the Lord Jesus there?

A. They will be with the Lord Jesus there.

“To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.” (Rev. 3:21) (NIV)

“3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.” (Rev. 22:3-4) (NIV)

A. Anything impure will not enter there.
