Q3. What is the relationship between sin in human history?

A. Because of sin all people experience death.

“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—"(Rom. 5:12) (NIV)

Notice that sin is so violent that it harms all human beings. It enters the world because of only one man, Adam. A venomous poison that continues to kill until the very last human race. It just shows how effective the word of God is. This is what Scripture says,

“5 “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. 6 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.” (Prov. 30:5-6) (NIV)

God said to Adam that, “but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” (Gen. 2:17) (NIV) And the curse took place because of disobedience to God’s commandment. Because of Adam, all his people are perishing.

Q4. What was the physical consequence of sin here on earth?

A. There is an effect. The people are living in poverty on this earth.

“17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Gen. 3:17-19) (NIV)

Q6. If Adam's sin was paid by every man to experience death, what about a person’s individual sin? Is there no chance to be forgiven?

A. The second death.

(a)“ But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” (Rev. 21:8) (NIV)

(b) There is a chance to be forgiven.

“8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 Jn. 1:8-9) (NIV)

A. Someone died for us to pay for our sins.

“8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!” (Rom. 5:8-10) (NIV)
