The Creation of Man

Q1. What does the Scripture say about how men came to be?

A. God was with someone when man was created.

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (Gen. 1:26) (NIV)

Q2. Who is God talking to when he created man?

A. The Christ, the image of the invisible God.

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” (Col. 1:15) (NIV)

Q3. Why did the scriptures say that Christ is the image of the invisible God?

A. “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,”  (Col. 2:9) (NIV)

Q4. When it says, because the fullness of God dwells in Christ, is he God like his Father?

A. The Scriptures state:

“But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.” (Heb. 1:8) (NIV)

Q5. Does It mean that God the Father has a Son who is also God like Him?

A. Thus, God the Father has a Son who is God.

“You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” (Heb. 1:9) (NIV)

In the light of the above verses, it is shown that Christ the Son of God is God. The Father has been with the Son before the creation of man, because he speaks to God the Father when he said "let us make man in our image."

Q6. How many Gods are there, then, according to the testimony of the Bible passages?

A. One God the Father and one Son who is God.

“Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (2 Thes. 1:2) (NIV)

“But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.” (Heb. 1:8) (NIV)

Q7. HAS THE LORD JESUS TESTIFIED THAT HE, BEING GOD, DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE IS ALSO THE FATHER?

S. His testimony is:

“But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.” (Jn. 8:16) (NIV)

i. The Son states that He and the Father are two Gods in nature, one God, the Father and one Son who is also God.

“17 In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true. 18 I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.”” (Jn.8:17-18) (NIV)

Q8. What does the verse mean that Christ is the firstborn of all creation?

A. “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Col. 1:17) (NIV)

Q9. For Christ is the first of all, does that mean that he is with God the Father before all things were created?

A.  Yes, the verses prove this.

“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” (Jn. 1:1-3) (NIV)

“19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.” (1Pet. 1:19-20) (NIV)

Q10. From Christ’s lips, did he claim his nature before the world was?

A. He declared this, when he prayed to the Father in heaven.

“And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.” (Jn. 17:5) (NIV)

““Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.” (Jn. 17:24) (NIV)

Q11. Who is the God who said "Let us make man"?

A. God the Father.

“yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” (1 Cor. 8:6) (NIV)

In the Revised Standard Version:

“yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” (1 Cor. 8:6) (RSV)

Take note in the Revised Standard Version, that the word only is not in the Greek original. There is one God, not only one God. One Lord, not ONLY one Lord. Thus, God is not exclusive to the Father, and one Lord is not exclusive to the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, God the Father, True God (Jn 17:3) and Son of God, True God (1 Jn. 5:20).

For it is clear that the Scripture says, as the father is Lord, so is the Son. As the Father is God, so is the Son.

“…“‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand 35 until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’ (Acts 2:34-35) (NIV)

Here it is evident that God, the Father, spoke to the Son that is Lord. Therefore, there are two Lords. And being a Son of God says:

“8 But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”” (Heb. 1:8-9) (NIV)

Therefore, if there is God the Father who has a Son that is a God, how many Gods are there?

How, then, that there are two Lords in a state - God the Father and a Son who is Lord - there are also two Gods in a state - God Father and a Son who is God who said “Let us create man." For he that is born of God is God, even as a man is born of man. Therefore, the Son of God became a man when Mary gave birth to Him. And because the Son of God was born as a natural man, so he only became incarnate, his deity was not lost. He is the Son of God made flesh.

Q12. Does the Son have a life in himself that comes from the Father where all things came from?

A. There is, and it was given by the Father.

“For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.” (Jn. 5:26) (NIV)

Is it not clear then, that from the Father Almighty he has given his Son his own life? So when the Father sent the Son to earth and died to redeem the believers and converts, by obeying him, God the Father did not die, but the Son of God in the flesh did. In fact, God the Father in heaven resurrected the Son. (Acts 2:32; Mat. 6:9)

Q13. Why does man need to know the true God who created him?

A. For it is eternal life to know the true God and his Son. As he was with Him in the creation of man.

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (Jn. 17:3) (NIV)

Q14. Are there people who worship an unknown God?

A. Yes, what Apostle Paul saw in Athens.

“… “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.” (Acts 17:22-23) (NIV)

Q15. Did anyone know any other Jesus, because someone else preached to them?

A. There are, and this is what made Apostle Paul give out warnings.

“For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Cor. 11:4) (NIV)

According to Apostle Paul, those who want eternal life should recognize only the Jesus they preached. And the Jesus they preached is the one speaking with God the Father when men were made in their image. And who is the image of God that is invisible: No one but Christ, the firstborn of all creation that is said in Colossians 1:15. He is the Word that became flesh (Jn. 1:1;14) He is the only begotten Son sent by the God the Father to the world, who will redeem those who believe and know him. (Mat. 11:27) He is God, not because he is God the Father, but he is the Son of God (Jn. 10:34-35) He was sent by the Father in the last days to be the savior of the world. (Jn 4:14) It is important, then, to know the true God who begot him, and the true Christ, the Son of God. For if it is not the true God and not the true Christ that man will know and worship, it is said:

“8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might” (2 Thes. 1:8-9) (NIV)
